MIDAS Courses have several flavors:
1. Competency courses: 1-3 hour courses designed to get you using a piece or related pieces of equipment. ($15/h + tax). They are required for you to start using that piece of equipment at MIDAS. Members will work with the Lab Director and floor staff to ensure safe operation of the equipment at all times by observing the posted safety, operations and maintenance manuals.
Or if you are proficient already you can arrange an audit for equipment or entire labs by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Competency courses do NOT include how to complete unique projects (see workshop/project courses section).
Upon completing the course, your MIDAS member profile and name tag will be updated to display your certification level and equipment access;
You will be registered in the MIDAS CRM database as a Member and certifications will be entered to the database and noted on your MIDAS name tag which must be worn at all times when at MIDAS.If you do not see the course you want, please join us on facebook or our blog, as many more courses will be introduced based on demand.

2. Workshop / Project courses: these 3-6 hour sessions provide competency certification (so you can use included equipment as a MIDAS member), may include 1 or more pieces of equipment and have a project output (making something and/or learning a more advanced skill with the equipment). They may be offered by an academic partner;
3. Corporate courses: are designed for company or academic organizations that want to bundle certain skills/training together. These are typically on-demand, but may be opened to the public if your organization permits (please contact email@example.com to request specific courses for your organization).
Please follow our Calendar or Facebook for new course announcements.
